In the Interim

We are in that time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That time when we have mostly forgotten about the Thanksgiving holidays and are looking forward to the Christmas holidays. We are putting up our Christmas lights, decorating our trees, and doing our Christmas shopping.

We have left one behind and are looking forward to another.

As Christians we are called to leave our lives of sin and follow the Master. The song 'As the Deer' by Martin Nystrom comes to mind when I think of leaving the darkness and following the light.

As the deer pants for the water so my soul longs after You.
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You.
You alone are my strength, my shield; to You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You.

Enjoy the holidays and remember...everyone is already thinking about Jesus this time of year so take advantage of it. Think of it as an "automatic foot in the door" and give the gift of Jesus to someone for Christmas.

To His Glory,

HeartMan
