Song Combinations
I want to turn from the philosophical and look at the practical for now.In my experience as a worship leader I have found that it seems like most songs have a companion song. What I mean is that it seems like there is another song wtih a similar melody, rhythm, and flow. The songs don't always have the same message. For instance, those that are familiar with Ken Young and Hallal, the songs "Constant Prayer" and "Hearts Courageous" are companion songs in my opinion. Another song combination that I like to use is "As the Deer" and "Seek Ye First".
What are some song medleys that you have seen or heard used that you thought worked really well. They may or may not be companion songs, but I would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Have a Worship-Filled Day!

Hey Mike - great to see you blogging man - very good words you have here. I also found Jim Mauldin's blog through Mike Cope. I do know your girls are growing up fast. I have a senior at LHS who is moving on to ACU in the fall - hard to believe is an understatement. It seems just yesterday she was 6 or 7 and I was taking her trick or treating in a cheerleader outfit! I know you can relate. My youngest daughter will be 15 in just a couple of weeks and ready to drive. Appreciate the moment now - for sure.
